K. Elevitch (she/they) is a queer artist, musician, educator, curator, entrepreneur & community arts leader whose multi-disciplinary projects & programs explore & center inter-generational collaboration, process-based storytelling, and queer & trans being-ness.
Most recently, Elevitch was awarded an Individual Artist Grant from ArtsWestchester via the NYSCA Re-Grant Program, for her multi-media interactive story installation “Abandoned Places: Sight, Stories, Sound”, exhibited at Rockland Center for the Arts in Sept. 2023.
Elevitch’s visionary creative arts leadership expands beyond art making. She is the Founder and Executive Director of StorySpace Arts, a volunteer Artist Collaborative that prioritizes, amplifies, and nurtures the stories, creative works and processes of LGBTQ+ people, women and people of the Global Majority through artist developed incubator space programs, showcases, circles, and creative arts leadership mentoring.
In 2023 she opened Studio 101 Nyack, a performance & teaching venue where she hosts StorySpace Arts’ monthly Open Mic for All program, storytelling workshops and offers customized creative coaching & mentoring for teens & adults.
